Bottomless Closet was an original idea back then - no such organization existed in the United States - until five wonderful women addressed the problems of mothers and housewives who wanted to enter the workforce but did not have the means to outfit themselves appropriately for interviews or for a job.

Women struggling to find pathways out of poverty have turned to Bottomless Closet, not only for one-on-one image consultation, but also to help build their confidence and re-establish a belief in their own ability to improve their lives.

The largest percentage of women we help are single mothers - the only role model for their family - they recognize how vital it is to provide a good example to their children.

The women we see are strong and able. The only thing they lack is the  opportunity to succeed.

"Every woman deserves the opportunity to visit Bottomless Closet. I looked

at myself in the mirror when I found the prefect outfit and I said,  I belong in the workforce, I look like I fit in now".

Thank-you to the volunteers who were passionate about the mission of Bottomless Closet and worked very hard to help keep that mission alive. Many people have been or remain part of the heart of what we do. They are the core of Bottomless Closet.

We are grateful every day that we can help the women we see. We cannot do it without your financial contributions. You are part of their success and ours when you help us pay our operating costs.

Thanks you to all those who have supported us in the past and thank you to all those who will support us in the future.

2011 is our 20th birthday! Help us celebrate those 20 years by making a financial donation to Bottomless Closet and our mission of helping women in need.

Please consider investing in the work we do here. Without adequate financial support we cannot help those in the community who depend on us.

To service one client, Bottomless Closet has to find $100 dollars to pay staff, rent, utilities, insurance, office supplies and all the overheads normally associated with running a business. Helping 100 wonderful women each month -  on average - means we need to find $10,000 to keep up with demand.

Your donation will be used well. Bottomless Closet is proud to say that 81.62 cents of every contributed dollar goes to fund programs and services.

Bottomless Closet Inc. is a 501 (c)3 tax-exempt organization registered in the State of Illinois. As such financial contributions are tax-deductible.
