Thank You for Supporting our
First-Ever Virtual Spring Luncheon!
For 20 years, Bottomless Closet has come together every spring to celebrate our donors, be inspired by clients and volunteers and raise critical funds to run our programs. In May 2020, that tradition continued on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 with Bottomless Closet’s First Virtual Spring Luncheon!
On May 13, hundreds stay home and logged in to the virtual event to be inspired, informed and entertained by our incredible program participants. The funds we raise every year (half our operating budget) are more critical than ever before. In addition to pivoting to a virtual luncheon, we have also transitioned our in-person client services to virtual coaching, interview prep and workshops. We quickly made that transition in Spring 2020 because the current reality for our clients is startling, as they face unemployment, unpaid sick time and homelessness at rates we have never seen before.
Since Bottomless Closet’s founding, we have helped over 40,000 underserved women, providing them with professional clothing, resume help, workshops and ongoing support. As we enter our third decade of service to the women and families of New York City, we face truly unprecedented challenges.
We also had a variety of online auction items, including Virtual Coffee with Norman Lear, a priceless Saturday Night Live experience, and a One-on-One Zoom Call with Christian Sirianoand one of his custom sketch paintings! We loved celebrating our honorees and clients with the entire Bottomless Closet community on May 13, as we came together to support New York City’s most vulnerable women.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the Bottomless Closet Spring Luncheon. Even if you missed it, you can still make a gift today and help us reach our goal.
